Zero waste insoles
OUR FIRST ZERO WASTE INSOLES, IN RECYCLED RUBBER.
As on our classic B0 they come from Margom and are produced in Italy.
These soles incorporate rubber scraps from defective soles and industrial waste from the factory. These production residues are ground to be transformed into flakes, then injected with recycled rubber into the sole moulds.
Each pair is unique, the colors, the materials and the distribution of these flakes is different for each sole.
Leather tanned in Italy
CERTIFIED GOLD BY THE LWG
The leather is tanned in Italy by Mastrotto, a tannery certified Gold by the LWG (Leather Working Group).
This strict certification is awarded to tanneries that minimize their environmental impact at every stage of the production chain.
The scoring criteria take into account the consumption of water and electricity, the use and treatment of chemicals, the emission of greenhouse gases, the management of waste and the traceability of the skins.
Gold is the highest level of certification.
Cork insoles
BREATHABLE AND ANTIBACTERIAL
For the first time, we have used natural cork soles for our insoles.
Cork is a breathable material, which has antibacterial and anti-odor properties.
These insoles are made in Portugal, a country that contributes 1/3 of the world's cork production.
Textile lining and organic cotton laces
GOTS CERTIFIED
The lining is in organic cotton GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), a 100% natural, soft and breathable material.
GOTS is an independent label that notably ensures the presence of at least 70% organic fibers in a textile, the absence of use of harmful chemicals, and compliance with the conventions of the ILO (International Labor Organization).
As for the lining, the laces are made of GOTS certified organic cotton.
Zero plastic
No plastic is used in the making of this pair of sneakers, nor in the packaging.
All our boxes are made in Portugal from paper from sustainably managed, FSC-certified forests.
FSC is an environmental label, which provides guarantees on the absence of a link to deforestation, sustainable management and the conservation of biodiversity.
