Belledonne is a sneaker brand born in Paris in 2018.

Hand-drawn. Made in Portugal.

Everything starts with a drawing.

Every Belledonne exists first on paper. Before the factory, before the first prototype, every shape and color is hand-drawn. The sketch defines the proportions, the line of the sole, and the placement of every leather piece. It is this design that we then follow, right up to the finished model.

Made in Europe.

Nearly nine out of ten pairs of shoes are manufactured in Asia. Ours are made in Portugal, in a workshop we have been working with since 2018. Our leathers come exclusively from Portuguese and Italian tanneries.

More than two hours

of manual labor for each pair.

Made for aging well.

We work almost exclusively with leather: it develops a patina instead of wearing out, and gradually takes on the shape of the wearer. On most of our models, the sole is glued and then stitched to the upper.

When we do not use leather, we choose recycled nylon or GOTS-certified cotton.

A shared vision.

Belledonne was born in Paris in 2018 as a project run alongside our day jobs, with two friends, Luc and Mikael. The name is that of the mountain range in the French Alps where we are from. A simple idea brought us together: a sneaker can be designed with the care of a designer piece and manufactured in Europe, without reaching luxury prices.

Today, I continue alone, with the same resolve. Every model still begins with a hand-drawn sketch, seeks a sober, French elegance, and takes shape in the same Portuguese workshop as in our early days.
